Roses with the Crooked Trim

A new week is here. The weather was gorgeous this past weekend and is suppose to stay that way most of the week. That is good.  Usually when school starts it is hot and humid, so I am happy that we are having September weather so it feels more like back to school.
Plus I just love this weather.
So my journal page today is quite romantic BUT I can't believe how crooked some of the upper trim is. Guess I must have been looking at an angle when I attached it. Not good, but it as what it is.
So I am also linking this page up to Jo's Poetry in Motion challenge at Art Journal Journey. There's hardly any time left to month when the challenge changes, but there are still a few days. :)
I made my page with bits of a napkin, some white gesso, a magazine cut out of some roses, along with a postage stamp and some rubber stamped images.
And I'm going to join up with Try It On Tuesday which has a theme right now of In My Garden, since these blooms look like they freshly cut from the garden.
And it's that time of  year when there seems to be so many different mushrooms appearing. Here's the latest I have come across.

Thanks for stopping by!

What a beautiful page! Adorable!
I wish you a happy school week with that appropriate weather! Lovely mushrooms everywhere-here as well. One of my lovely neighbour's brought me his first finds of the year - nice chanterelles. But I am not always as amused as I should be with this generous gifts - since I have to clean them ... that's a lot of work always! And I am lazy- yes! Had so much to do the last days and I am completely tired ....
Thanks a lot for another wonderful entry for AJJ dear Erika!
Have a great week!

If you didn't mention it, I wouldn't have noticed. When I looked at your page, my eye zeroed in on the bouquet of rose. I like the quote very inspiring. It certainly feels very back to school weather. Have a good day!

This looks rather nice, Erika, and you've given ideas on what to make a collage with. I like the unusual pretty colour combination you've used.
And these mushrooms!

Its a beautiful bowl of flowers and a fantastic page. Thank you for coming over and joining us at TioT's as well.
Great mushrooms in the photos, autumn is when they seem to florish here in the woodland as well.

I love this quote it is so full of positivity and optimism! Your page is so romantic with the lovely roses and napkin background, and I love the addition of the postage stamp and "Je Taime" Paris postage mark stamp - beautiful ๐Ÿ˜. Your heart borders and little heart pearls finish the page wonderfully and look perfect to me ๐Ÿ˜‰. Glad the weather stayed nice there and I hope you had a lovely weekend! Thanks for another beautiful addition to this month's theme at Art Journal Journey and wishing you a Happy Monday Erica! J ๐Ÿ˜Š

Crooked is good, don't you know. Some pretty ugly mushrooms there, those first are yellow sulpher I think. We used to see them in the woods all the time. Good spider catch in that photo. xox

A lovely journal page Erika, I think it's just the angle of the camera that makes trims look crooked - or at least that's what I tell myself!
Some strange mushrooms - at least the spider likes them.
Lovely to see you joining us at TioT

I adore the page for AJJ and TioT. Very romantic and quite Victorian, too, I think. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

Had to laugh because I was just reading a book of fiction in which the boy went to the woods to cut some "magic mushrooms," and picked poisonous ones instead. Tell me none of these are magic, ie psychedelic (grin)!

Just love your rose page, crooked trim and all. Very pretty!

LOVE those mushroom photos. I'm a fan of interesting looking 'shrooms and they're out in force now. Hope to see some when I get to the lake!
