Feeling Blue?

Hi everyone. It's time for our first challenge of 2025 at Try It On Tuesday. Did you check and see if you made it into our spotlight?

Our first challenge is called Feeling BlueNo we don't want you to be sad, but we're looking for art that is all about the color blue.

My page is all about winter because for some reason I always think of winter as blue. Maybe because it's the only  pop of color among the greys, browns and whites of the season. And I just loved this little ice skater girl from a set of winter punch outs  from Studio Light. I stamped the background with a blue dotty background stamps, drew and fussy cut the clouds as well as using a blue Stabilo watercolor pencil to give them a bit of depth. I also used white paint on the base to act as snow, as well as some glue glue to make the ice for the skaters, but sadly you can't see it. I also added some snowflakes as well as some glitter glue to them. I finished with some TH quote stickers.

Be sure to check out all the pretty blue designs from our designers, and don't forget our BLUE challenge runs for the next 2 weeks.

I am also linking up to Mia's Dots challenge at Art Journal Journey which is why you see so many dots in the sky.

I hope everyone is having a great January and start to 2025 so far.

...when there is sun, which has been MIA here, the snow can have a touch of blue.

You have implemented the theme very well, I like the girls skating. I really like watching figure skating, even though I have never been on skates myself. And then of course I like the snow, otherwise I am a real winter sports.
All the best to you.
Happy greetings from Viola

What a fun and interesting journal page, Erika. I loved the skaters with their blue socks. It is also great for Mia's theme at AJJ, too.
