Wrapping Up January at AJJ

Hi everyone. It's the middle of the week, and not only that, it's just about  the end of January. This month has been quite wintery at least temperature wise at my house. I can't say we've had a lot of snow although we did get a  little bit overnight.

Today I want to share my last journal page for Mia's Dots challenge at Art Journal Journey. The challenge doesn't end until Friday so if you want to join, there's still a bit of time.

Right before Christmas, Joggles (an online craft store) had some Dina Wakely stamps and stencils on sale, and I never see them on sale so I was quite excited. I am a big fan of Dina's art and her supplies, and I wish there were still more craft stores around because I used to enjoy taking classes with her when she was in the area. Even with this sale I was good and only bought 1 stamp set, and that's where the tags on my page came from. I used an old Hero Arts background dot stamp to add the dots to those tags.

My background is made with various inks and some of Dina's spray paints (already in my stash). While doing my big stamp clean out I came across this old Impression Obsession flower stamp which was one of the earliest stamps I'd ever picked up and forgot that I had because it was way down in the bottom of a box. I stamped it several times on white paper and then fussy cut all the flowers to add them to my page. I also used a hole pinch and made a few other dots to add. I finished my page by stamping an old Hero Arts quote stamp that seemed to be just what this page needed.

Thank you Mia for hosting, and thank you everyone who joined in. I had a lot of fun playing with dots. I hope you did too.

That's all for me today. I hope everyone is having a super week.

You cannot go wrong with a dots challenge. All sizes and colours can fit in. It is like my sun hats in January - every silk and most flowers look great.

Right now we have an old- fashioned winter. Lots of snow and it’s cold. Great! All the best - David

This is beautiful!
Being a polka-dot-fan I should´ve joined, but atm my creativity is somewhere in the dark - all I manage (hopefully) is again a face for Nicole´s FFO.... There is just training-wise (certificate to get my job back) too much open...and time is ticking away...

A very pretty journal page with the tags and a beautiful, colorful background to match!
I've only had winter once with snow. It's more of a dirty weather with rain.
Have a good week!
Hugs Elke

Such a fun background and I adore your printed flowers among all the dotted tags! I certainly agree with your sentiment about doing what you love and life is short! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration! PS Glad you were able to use some unforgotten stash and they've been giving new love!!

A lovely happy page to end the month with. I love how you have brought dots into the various elements of your page.
Surprising it may seem but there are often Dina workshops on offer not too far from me. She is great friends with Dyan Reavley so often comes over to spend time with her and they do joint workshops. Guess it helps towards her air fare.
Hugs, Neet xx
