Sunday Post

Hi everyone. I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Mine has been on the low key side, which is quite nice after the busy holiday weeks that just recently wrapped up. I can now say all the holiday decorations are down, which means it's time to move onto a few other winter cleaning projects on my agenda. Of course how much actually gets done depends on how long I feel like cleaning. 😏

Today I want to share another journal page for Mia's Dots challenge at Art Journal Journey

All the images are stamped, and the background is painted with watercolor paint. I love that I get to pull out some really old dotty background stamps as well as some just as old dotty circles stamps for this month. I did use a marker to color the branches, and the cardinal is stamped on white paper, colored (mostly) with a red Sharpie and then fussy cute and added.

I'm also linking to Gillena's Sunday Smiles.

And that's all for me today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and start to the new week.

Oh wow. I love this page and you have given me an idea for a page, since I also have some old circle stamps. BTW, your blog post goes to Gillena's blog. Glad I gave you on my left sidebar so I could find you easily.

Thanks for this great entry for Mia's theme at AJJ, dear Erika. LOVE the cardinal.

Beautiful cardinal, always think it's kind of neat that they were named after the Catholic priests not the other way around

Erika, I love the composition of this, and your stamping is wonderful. We usually don't take our decorations down until after Epiphany, which is tomorrow, but I'm gonna leave mine up a while longer to honor New Orleans and hope they go on with Mardi Gras season. Honey is really enjoying them and I am too, so why not, lol. And we are finally getting some legitimately cold weather this whole week, too. But congrats on tackling your big job. You had a lot up! Really wonderful page Erika! I love the scene with the pop of red cardinal bird! The sentiment is perfect for this time of the year! We've taken down all Christmas and it's cold winter now here! Stay crafty and cozy!
