Happy Sunday everyone. This is a pre-post I wrote last night since we are planning on going boating. That means I don't know if we are leaving at noon or leaving at 8.

And since we were having a Grace and Frankie marathon last night I took a few minutes between episodes to write this post.

So awhile back I showed you the start of my cover to my night book.

Along with working on my ocean journal I have started working on my night journal too.

Thought you'd enjoy this inner first/title page.

And thought I'd show you a few more photos of the formal garden I visited last month in New Brunswick, Canada.

 There was also some cool garden art.

 And the bee hotel.

Rainy Saturday

Its a dark Saturday morning here in my world. I am ready for some more sun. Its been too cloudy the last few days. they say tomorrow. I sure hope so.

So today I have another spread in my ocean journal for you.  I showed you a couple of other pages the other day. You can check them out here if you are interested High Tide and Other Things.

If it looks a little confusing on the right page, its because that page is narrower than the page underneath it.

To make my spread I used paint, some art stamps (ArtChix), some die cuts, some back of a sheet of paper, some left over screening from when we redid our screen door, stamps, some blue gemstone stickers, some other metal art pieces and a goldish charm.

And a few more doodle pages from my drawing journal.

Both the 4th of July (here in the US) and getting my toenails painted are fun things that happen during the summer. 

And Valerie has been showing us  botanical garden photos, which reminded me I never showed you my photos from Kingsbrae Garden which we visited in New Brunwick when we were away last month.

I would love to go back and see what it is like in other seasons since this is all the spring/June flowers.

So no big plans for me this weekend. A lot depends on the weather I guess.  How about you?  Anything exciting going on?

Welcome To Eastport, Maine

Hi everyone. Yesterday I took you to the Moose Island Bakery in Eastport, Maine.

(T is a Million Calories Today)

My family and I visited Eastport for an extended weekend back in June. Eastport is the most eastern city in the US. It was also the second busiest port for part of 1800's (behind New York City) in the US. Because it is the most easterly city and also near just across the bay from Canada, it is a great port from ships coming in from the UK and northern Europe to deliver their goods as it was a shorter trip than heading south to Boston, NYC or other ports. And because Maine had (and still does) an abundant amount of big and tall trees, it also made a great port for sending lumber back across the Atlantic.

Eastport later on became the sardine capitol of the world, canning and shipping sardines all over.

Today it is neither one of the busiest ports and no longer is a sardine capital. Its still a relatively busy port  but mostly now for lobstermen, Coast Guard ships, cruise ships and fishing vessels. There are boat building industries and other shipping industries.

But enough about that. How about a few photos.

A statue built for a FOX tv show which is now a symbol of town. Can you find it in the view of the view below?

 Kind of a feisty and sex lady of the sea.

It was foggy, wet and raw when wee visited in the morning.

But by the evening when we decided to go back to dinner  the sunset was  beautiful.

And a few other random snapshots I took while we walked around.

 Years of signs nailed into the telephone post made it really cool.

And I created a page in my drawing journal about my day visiting.

 I used some tourist magazine cutouts as well as drawing. And I purchased the big fisherman sticker.
