Hi everyone. Happy second day of July to you. I'm here today with a second look for Second on the Second which you can find at Altered Book Lover's blog blog. I'm also going to share a new page for Halle's Botanical challenge at Art Journal Journey. Both of my pages have a Botanical theme.
Let me start with my second look, which is from my post on July 16, 2018. This is a photo and a page from my Japan journal. I was very lucky to be able to travel with my school to Japan in April of that year, and at one of the shrines we visited, I discovered something called the Marriage Tree. Or maybe trees is more accurate.
The rope between the 2 trees is a symbol of how the 2 trees grow together over time, just like 2 people in a marriage also would.
I made a journal page about these trees, and that's my second look.
And for a new look and to join Halle's Botanical challenge which is this month's theme at AJJ, here's a recently made journal page.
You can see on this page I used some pink paint as well as some vintage style flowered backgrounds paper. I added the frame and a die cut bouquet that I inked and painted. The circles started with paint, then I used a watercolor pencil on them, and finally to finish those circles I used either a pink or orange marker. I added the sticker butterfly and stamped the quote which is from a set by Paper Artsy. I finished by adding the little crow which came from a roll of clear tape.
That's all for me today. When I have to be at the lake for 7 it definitely cuts into my morning blogging time. I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to this new month.
