Happy Tuesday everyone. T Day has arrived again. If you don't know about T Day its when we share some drink photos and stories (and often food and other adventure stories too).
Stop by Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog and join in the T Gang fun.
So this week I am going to share some photos from my long weekend adventure to the Finger Lakes Region in New York state.
This area is known for vineyards, and boy were there a lot of them.
There are areas where you could walk for 10 minutes and visit 10 different vineyards. We went to only one and went to a wine tasting. It was actually quite fun.
My brother-in-law bought a few bottles, and that's my husband holding the really big bottle of wine. No, we didn't buy it because that bottle cost $500. I would have been afraid to pick it up.
And no, you don't get enough wine at one of these tastings to actually get tipsy (but probably if you went to several in a row you might), but we were being goofy and decided it would be fun to pretend we had too much to drink around these wine casts.
Ha-ha-silly me.
But we did got to a few breweries and taste some beer. I'm not a big drinker but I do enjoy a pint when the weather is warm.
The breweries would let you purchase a flight, which is 4 or 5 small glasses with samples of the beers you wanted to try. My husband and I split them each time. We even shared with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law so we ended up having a sip or 2 usually.
This particular brewery's beers were not my favorite.
But I did really enjoy the beers at the Grist Iron brewery.
This beer in the photo below was my absolute favorite: Fippeny Apple Graff Ale. I bought 2 growler sizer cans, so when I open these I better have a few friends to share with because these are huge cans with around 4 glasses in each.
But of course it's always nice to have an actual beer with dinner.
Cheers!
Thanks for visiting me today.

Now that was a fun trip, barrels of wine and beer, and are you sure that pic is staged by those barrels, or did you taste too much?! Main thing is you both had fun, you deserve it after all you have been through this year with the OPs etc. Have a good week, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
What a fun post. You look like you had a lot of fun on that trip, especially around the kegs of wine. I really laughed at that one. But I would have been glad to take the stout off your hands, because that's the only beer I'll drink. The rest is just too pale and watery for my taste.
I really enjoyed seeing you, your husband, and in-laws for a fun day out and about in the finger lakes. It looked like a good time and I love that you shared it with us for T this Tuesday.
Well this really is a terrific drinks post--cheers.
Everyone seems to have have had a really great time and it is always good to be able to sample the drinks before you buy.
Happy T Day to you and your happy gang.
Love Chrissie xx
Oh my gosh! I would have been happy there ! What a lovely trip !♥♥♥
Thanks for sharing all the happy photos!
Happy T-Day Erika!

I would prefer the vineyard to the brewery. Never really acquired the taste for beer. I'd be afraid of a $500 bottle of wine on the ride home. Try explaining that to a statie! Looks like you had a fun trip. Happy T Day!
oh what a positively fun day!! I hear the Finger Lakes are really beautiful, and yes, full of vineyards and wine trails etc. Great photos! I would NOT have picked up that very expensive bottle though
Happy T day!
What a wonderful adventure and it looks like you had the most fantastic time with your family, I love the selfie of you all! I totally agree that beer with dinner is a must, but I guess you knew I'd say that ... lol 😁. I checked out the Grist Iron Brewery website and I'd also like to try the Benevolence Amber and the Blueberry Wheat please ... lol 😉. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊
p.s. thanks for visiting all my posts now your back and leaving such lovely comments, that's very kind of you! J x
Wow that was a fun day Erika - would have liked the wine tasting especially :) Great photos!

I've never been to a winery or a tasting, but I think it'd be interesting. The photo you posted with the water in the background is lovely!
Happy T Tuesday :)
Aaah Erika.. not a beer or wine drinker here but it looks like you had loads of fun! i go more for the girlie drinks... the daiquiris and Bellini and such... and even those i might have once in a blue blue moon... not sure how that happened... used to drink alot more in my youth but then started to not like how it made me feel the day after at some point...lol Daughter and son in law like to do the wine tasting and beer flights though ... Great pictures! So glad you had a good time! Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb
It looks like you were all having fun and that you had a super trip.
Tea day wishes Erika.

Beautiful photos of the vineyard scenery and vines...and looks like you had a fun time! the last photo is great, such genuine smiles! I'd have been afraid to pick up the $500 bottle of wine too....happy T day!
What fun! Loved seeing these photos! Happy T day! Chrisx
Now that's the sort of trip I love! The beer tasting sounds fun. Although I'm no beer expert, I do like a beer when it's hot. There is not much variation here in southern Spain. It's just lager. But I'm already looking forward to trying new beers in the UK son.
What a great selfie! Cheers!
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca
Wine tastings and winery tours are a lot of fun. My hubby and I enjoy them too. There always seems to be great cameraderie ... which shows in all of your photos. Love the last picture of you guys. Boy, you gotta have a long arm to take a selfie like that;-)
Happy T-Day, Erika! Hugs, Eileen
Looks like a grand time!!! I miss drinking wine but I no longer have any tolerance for alcohol it Flares my Fibromyalgia so I avoid it... but I remember how good a great glass of wine tasted.
What a lovely and fun post! We dashed to the coast to pick up wine this weekend....those wine grapes do splendid in the coastal regions.
Your photo made me smile.
I just found out that there is a place in Bakersfield that has Flights and Bite nights, where they pare beer with all the courses of a dinner. Sounds interesting and thinking of taking a chance and going one Wednesday night....oh that's tonight......hummmmm....LOL!
Belated T-day wishes
I did a couple of wineries in the Geneva area a few years ago and it was loads of fun. But I think I'd really like the beer tasting too. Especially in the summer! I love the smiles on all your faces!
