More Pears

Hi everyone. The same arctic cold that has hit much of the United States has hit New Hampshire today. With wind chills it is going to feel like 0 degrees F (-17 degrees C). Did I miss a couple of months because right now I think it is January.
Today I have another piece for  Rike's  Fruit and Veggie challenge at Art Journal Journey. I had fun with this one; so much fun I couldn't even keep the bottom tape straight. Smile.

When I was looking for my pear stamp for another page I made, I came across this cute one.
So I grabbed a Gelli printed page out of my stash. I used a circle plate to make some colorful circles, but I toned them down a bit with some coffee colored ink. Then I used a word stamp to add a bit to the page.
Some doodled and colored hearts and some sequins  finished off the background, and of course that crooked tape!
I am also linking up to Art Every Day Month. It is already day 13!
And how about the colors of last night's sunset.

Thanks for visiting.

The sunset image is gorgeous...but yes, I too feel as if I've missed a month. It's gone from cool to freezing overnight! I can feel the fun in this page. Lots of bits and bobs to see and a lovely background. That's a cute pear pair, too, lol. Love the contrast of the vivid pink hearts.
As for crooked washi tape - mine is rarely straight, but it just adds to the fun of your lovely design.
Have a great day, Erika!

That's a beautiful but cold sunset!

We woke up to 10 this morning (-2 windchill). Too early!

Haha, your page is really funny - I love the two pears! A gorgeous background - makes me in mood for doing once again some gelli prints :) and this pink of the hearts is so sweet!
Nearly the same pink I see in this amazing sunset photo!
Thank you for joining my theme again with your wonderful pears page!

Fun, funny page, Erika. You did a great job. I even like the wonky tape. It's amusing like the quote. Eileen xx

Hello Erika. I'm always amazed how closely your weather seems to be to ours. It is very cold here too.
I am absolutely in love with your page - great vibrant background, the sweet pear pair, the pink hearts liberally sprinkled, the dancing words, and, of course, the enthusiastic black and white dotted strip at the foot.
It's a marvellous piece for Rike's theme.

It does feel like we had Autumn for about a week and then skipped straight to January, doesn't it! Those sunset colors are gorgeous :)

The sky in the photo is a beautiful colour, I think it also looks like it would be quite cold as well.
I am grinning at the cute pears on your journal page, they are having fun. Its a great background as well.

I love this journal page, Erika. A good pun is always fun. It's so cute and the background is intense! Thanks for sharing it with us using Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey.

WOW. Living in the city, I don't get to see beautiful sunsets like that. All I see are houses and trees.

That sunset is beautiful - I wish I could replicate that in my artwork. It has gone old here in the UK too - you can certainly feel the change in the air when you go out and it nips your nose and fingers when you walk around.
Love the page - it is such fun and what a great idea to use those pears with that quote.
I do like how you have used that hot pink for the hearts - really makes the whole thing pop.
A great page - what does it matter about the washi tape - it adds to the eye's journey as you look across the page.
Hugs, Neet xx

Fun art piece. I like the play on words. Beautiful sunset. As they saying goes, "Red sky at night, sailors delight." (But, "Red sky in the morning, sailor take warning.")

I hope today warmed up a little for you, like it did here in CT.
