Autumn Green

Hi everyone. Today I am sharing a tag for Tag Tuesday and their latest challenge of Texture.  This is Wendy's pick of themes, and it was fun to make this tag.
I have 2 views of my tag today. The top one I took on my sunny windowsill. It has some shadows in it . Although I like the effect, it might make your view of the tag a little less clear. So I photographed it again on an ottoman to a chair. No shadows this time.

I inked the background and stamped the word oui in the same green ink. Then I added some die cut leaves and some flowers for texture. Finally I stamped the quote and some postmarks.
I am also linking up to Art Everyday Month.

More nice weather today is on the docket for today. This warm stretch is wonderful and perfect to get some yard work done.

Here's the finished fence we painted Friday. The birds were happy I put the feeders back in place.

I hand painted the end of the fence where the feeders are hanging, which took quite a bit of time. My husband (who took the day off to help with the project) is  guy who loves his power toys, and after  some fiddling to get his power painter going, sprayed the rest of the fence. He did the rest in the time it took me to hand paint 1 side and gate. Of course he hadn't used the power painter since last time we painted the fence which was 4-5 years ago, so his frustration level was up for a bit. And me, hand painting, was just a big relaxing art project! Smile.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Enjoy what is left.

That's a lovely tag, Erika. I can see the texture even from the shot you took on the windowsill.

I love MY power tools, too. You get a lot more bang for your paint, but I know you have to spray the paint at least three times if you want it to last more than one year outside. It looks like a great job, though.

Don't forget to add AEDM to your post, dear.

That was some nice work by you and your husband on the fence painting project, Erika. I understand about guys and their power toys. I agree that your slower and more manual way was more relaxing and gave more chance to be outdoors in such great weather.

I love your tag!
My mind is art-less atm (though Hubby "secretly" bought me a tool for embossing, blabbermouth had to tell, certainly).
Taxes, job-search, dumbness is overruling atm.

Love your Hubby took a day off to play with you :-)
Great result, too!

Smiles and to a happy rest of the weekend!

LOVE your gorgeous tag, Erika, thanks so much for joining us at Tg Tuesday, much appreciated! I'm envious of your husband and his power painter, sounds like fun! The fence looks really good now. Had to think of Tom Sawyer and how he got the other boys to paint his fence for him! Have a wonderful day, hugs, Valerie

Either way you look at it, the tag is beautiful. I'm laughing at boys and their toys while we would be happy hand-painting a giant art project. You didn't by any chance feel the earthquake we had here this morning? Looks like more nice weather. Enjoy
