Make it Feminine

 Hi everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

The last two weeks have flown by, and today we are starting a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday. For the next 2 weeks, our theme is Make It Feminine

The centerpiece of my slightly grungy  page is this beautiful chipboard woman from Stamperia. I added some glitter glue to her dress to help give it some depth. I also added the tissue paper lace and flowers because they are often considered feminine.

I used lots of paint  colors and some tissue paper layering to create my background. I also added some stamping on my page.  To give the lovely lady on my page more focus I add I added a strip of white metallic paper trim and a paper metallic sun also.  I kept the dark printed tissue paper below the sun, as if all the light is going onto the beautiful lady.

Be sure to check out all the lovely art by the design team too for some inspiration.   I'm looking forward to to seeing everyone's feminine art.

I am also linking up my journal page over at  Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge.  Their theme is anything goes as long as you use multiple medias on your challenge page.

And lastly I am linking up to Art Journal Journey where this month's theme is Language, hosted by Elle. My page today is all about the language of ladies, from how we dress and what we surround ourselves with. Even though women can do just about anything, and even though people are people, women do have some of their own body language and customs.

Thanks for visiting.

Your lady looks as though she is happy with the surroundings she is in. She is from an era where ladies were not supposed to have opinions about important matters but she clearly looks as though she has the confidence to do so! Hugs, Chrisx

This is really lovely Erika. I love all the black against the pink and how the glitter glue has given volume to her dress. Love your language of ladies idea too, she looks like she would have her own ideas of what was appropriate. Thanks for joining me for the Language theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle xx

Erika, this is BEAUTIFUL! I love the girl, your pretty background, your great background elements, and those words. The lace is perfect. Just so lovely in so many ways. I like how you and Mia focused on souls. So sweet and something we all need to do. Lovely works. Hugz

Definitely a feminine page glorious in its pinkness. Your lady is certainly from the age of when ladies were ladies and I can imagine her gliding into the room with her dance card clutched to her heaving bosom. Can you tell I like period dramas?
The lace was certainly the right addition to this very feminine page as were the hearts and flowers. The whole page is beautiful.
Hugs, Neet xx

How beautiful this colourful composition is Erika, it's as if it tells a story as she walks peacefully amongst the flora. The addition of the lace is a very feminine touch, so pretty.
So sorry i'm late to visit, my MIL has been very ill and i've been taking care of her since her return from hospital.
Hugs Tracey xx
