Friday Again

Hi everyone.  Happy Friday. I hope everyone has had a good week. The weather and their related events has been crazy in so many places this past week. At my house it's been cold (averages 15 degrees F/-9 degrees C) however it's been very windy so the feel like temperature has been even colder, often below zero degrees F. I've had several things on my calendar this week, but I've also spent a good amount of time hunkered down next to our woodstove. 😏 I bet it is going to be so quiet once the wind stops blowing as it constantly has been and is so loud.

Since it's Friday I'll be linking up to Gillena's Friday Lunch Break and also to Nicole's Friday Face Off.  I thought I'd share a few pages from a Christmas journal that I made and finished up right before the New Year. For the past week I've actually been cleaning my art space, and I haven't made any new art, but it will be nice to work in a cleaner space 👍, which I should HOPEFULLY be able to do sometime next week. I do have one page in today's post with "dots" that I'll also be linking up to Mia's dot challenge at Art Journal Journey.

These skater ladies and snowmen make a great winter page, and you can see all the dots for berries I added to the wreath.  Plus there's 5 faces.

And in this next page there are lots of faces too. I just noticed there are red "dot" berries near the mask also.

And finally a couple of dove faces.

That's all for me this post. I've got a couple of appointments this morning so  I'll probably visit  most of you this evening. Have a great start to your weekend.

Do the berries have a religious connection, or are they just artistic flourishes?

Great pages Erika. My favourite has to be the first one and I would love to know if the wreath is a die that you used, it stands out so well against the black and white picture. Love your ladies, I have lots of rubber stamps like those two and was always using them in my artwork at one time. Love your jolly snowmen although the middle one looks a bit sad.
The second one is also a fab page, the background pattern is just perfect and I do like the Venetian mask. Love the films strip too.
The final one - great idea to have all those dots which to me represent baubles on a tree, especially with such lovely words on them that we all use at Christmas time somewhere in our work.
Hugs, Neet xx

The skater ladies are fascinating. I wonder how they skated wearing that complicated dress..

I know that too, here on the North Sea coast the air feels much cooler because of the wind. I just can't sit still, I need to get outside and move around, even if it's only for an hour, even if everything hurts.
These are beautiful works, I like them all, you've designed them imaginatively again! The doves of peace of the heart are needed more than usual these days!
Have a good, hopefully a little warmer weather!
Hugs, Elke

All of these are fabulous pages Erika! The vintage ladies are so fun and I love the frowning snowman in the middle who decided not to be so jolly! LOL The vintage film strip is really cool against that background and I love your multiple green circles on your last one! I need to remember to do this on my pages! Hope your appointment went well!

Ohhhh way too cold for me. As much as the weather her upsets me I'm glad I no longer live in snow and frigged weather. The art here is just stunning. Each piece has such depth. Stay warm my friend and thank you for sharing with FFO.

We have had very gusty winds in Nashua, NH, all week as well making it feel even colder than the mid-20s during the day when outdoors. We are predicted to get a bit of snow on Sat, but unfortunately will be in PA visiting family.

I like all of these, Erika, but that opening image is so pretty -- it's a Christmas card waiting to happen!

Oh my, that is colddddd! Wind never helps for sure. Neither does rain, which we have been getting a lot of, bringing in new fronts every few days. Ugh, I would hate to have to huddle around one heat source for long periods. I hope that wind dies down or has already. Stay warm, xoxo
