Spring Blooms

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. We had a lot of rain yesterday, but that was good for the lawn, gardens and woods. Plus, it was a good excuse to take a day off from doing yard work and be a little lazy-grin 😏.

It's always exciting to see the world greening back up and flowers starting to bloom. I know my area is behind so many other people's, but since I'm happy to see them, I guess you'll have to bear with me. 😁

The cherry blossoms on the tree that my co-workers gave me when my Dad passed will be blooming very soon.

My transplanted roses are starting to get leaves. I hope that means they are adjusting well to their new spot.

And the sugar maple in the yard is blooming too.

Then those blooms fall to the ground.

And I'll wrap up this post with some more blooms, this time from the envelope journal I made. I'll be  linking these  up to Art Journal Journey  where the challenge is Spring Birds and which runs through this coming Wednesday. I know there's no birds on today's posts, but the flowers are definitely for spring, especially the second view.

I'll also be linking up to Gillena's Sunday Smiles.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and start to the new week.

I think that Spring has finally consented to stop being so mercurial and settle down to the serious business of greening the Earth. The soil has received ample moisture over the winter and spring ephemerals are raising my spirits everywhere; no doubt yours too. Is there anything quite so endearing as the leaves of Bloodroot clasped around the stem, as though to provide protection until it gets established? It really is a wonderful time of year. All the best - David

So beautiful! We had lots of rain last few days, but today it's so sunny and temperature will reach to 18C this afternoon. Happy Gardening, Erika.

Golden daffodils wave a warm welcome to spring in half the world. But today was the first day that didn't reach 20c and worse is yet to come.

The daffodils are always the first I see in Spring and they're so happy and colorful! Your envelope journal is stunning with the flowers which is a sure brilliant representation of Spring!

I do love the first sight of Spring our flowers do know when it's time to show their faces, mine where later than past years but still peeped out earlier than they should have done. I hope the weather now starts to warm up for you, it is showing silly signs of 10 degrees higher than it should be here in the UK this week.. makes me worry we will get no summer again :(
Lovely show of artwork Erika always very uplifting and inspirational. Hugs Tracey xx

Daffodils mean a lot to me and it is always a welcome sign when I see their yellow heads standing proudly in the ground. When I was working I drove along a road where they had planted lots of daffodils (cancer care people) on myk way to school and it was lovely and uplifting to see the beautiful yellow heads brightening the world, even on a dull weather day.
I love how you have so much blossoming forth around your home, I wonder how much more will have burst forth when we return home after our time away. Isn't it exciting when you get up in a morning and look outside!
Almost as exciting as your envelope journal. What a beautiful array of flowers you have there and I love Venetian masks, so both pictures work so wells for me.
Hugs, Neet xx
