Friday Faces

Hi everyone. Happy Friday.  Another week flew by for me. How about you? Today I have some faces from my week to share with you. And since it's also Friday, I'm linking up to Nicole's Friday Face Off and Gillena's Friday Lunch Break.

Some of you might have seen this post yesterday since I messed up the dates without realizing it. 😰 OK,  so it should be ready to post on Friday now. Hopefully! And if you saw yesterday, then I guess you can move on as there is nothing new.

First of all, here's me with a college friend who was up visiting from North Carolina. We met up and ended up having a  4 hour lunch and lots of catch up.

And meet Ted. The other morning while working at the lake he arrived with his 20 something owner. While the owner was fishing off the dock Ted realized he had a sucker who would throw the stick for him, but his cuteness melted my heart for certain.

Here's the hubby and back view of Miss Maddie during last Sunday's leaf clean up and dock installation at my Mother-in-laws.

I did a bee check this past week in my 2 hives. You may remember that I lost the queen in one hive and replaced her. That hive seems to be doing well and the queen has started to lay eggs. 👍 The other hive is booming, and I had to add another box to it because they were making honey under the inner cover.

I finally got some weeding done in my gardens, and hopefully this year the hostas will  get to grow. I planted them here 2 years ago, and I've been battling with the deer (who find them very tasty) ever since.  And you can see the Bigfoot my husband made for another face view.

And finally not a face view, but my Siberian irises are blooming beautifully right now.

Have a wonderful start to your weekend.

Just think how happy that little dog must have been to find a friendly human willing to throw a stick. I am very happy that the bees are doing so well. Hopefully, there’s a bumper crop of honey in the offing this year. All the best - David

Good mornng, Ienjoyed your post-awesome to meet up with your friend, loved he smile on the little dog, good news about your bees-perhaps you can harvest some honey for yourself this year.
My neighbor here gets very frustrated with the deer eating her hostas too-there are quite a lot of deer here and they even walk through mine too. I think they are messing with my plants in my big copper pot.
Lovely flowers-Happy Friday Kathy

Happy Friday. So nice to see you and your hubby. I love all the big smiles.
I have a friend who keeps bees also, and I see some bee boxes in a yard down the street from my Mom's house.

I love your Bigfoot! My neighbor has a Corgi named Teddy -- it's a perfect name. And yes, I have hosta issues with the deer. I'm thinking of dividing some for the lake this year -- though that'll probably be the same thing! Good job, BEES!

Fun to have a long lunch with a good friend. Ted is too cute even if he is a dog. 😺Dock in the water, ready for Summer. Very cool update on the bees. Your irises are beautiful and look like van Gogh's painting. Enjoy this gorgeous weather.

Happy faces. A neighbour gave me a hosta last year and I'm really surprised that it is growing again this year as it didn't look too well after it had been in my garden a little while.

A four hour lunch sounds wonderful - isn't it lovely to catch up with an old friend? The little corgi is so sweet - I'm a sucker in regards to throwing sticks as well. One of my friends had a corgi and that sweet dog always was overjoyed when I came by because I would throw sticks for him. These are dogs that you need to keep busy and active.
Good news that your bee hives are doing fine and hopefully you will get some honey, too. The deer here eat my plants as well, albeit not all of them. They don't like anything with a fragrance. I don't really mind that they eat them, they need to survive and after all, we moved into their habitat, not vice versa. I really love all the wildlife here. I hope you have a lovely weekend! Hugs - Carola

Ted is a cutie. I can see why you would throw him a stick. And I was so glad to see Maddie, too. I was worried about her.

You are going to have a bumper crop of honey this year. SO glad the bees are thriving. And your irises are amazing.

It’s always great to catch up with a friend especially one from years back. Looks like your hives are doing well and there’s nothing like honey to sweeten so many things, especially the tea I am always drinking.

We think it’s rabbits that ate our hostas. They must be very yummy plants!

You certainly look happy with your friend after the four hour lunch and the little dog looks happy that he found a friend to throw sticks for him. I swear he has a smile on his face.
I have a smile on my face as i just found out your new queen is doing well. I have been wondering and did ask in a blog post so now you can ignore me.
Hugs, Neet xx
