Happy Weekend.

Hi everyone. It's the long Memorial Day holiday weekend here in the US. It's not exactly the beach type weather we often get for the holiday, but it is still nice. I've been at the garden center spending a little cash (hoping later this weekend I will get some planting time). Plus my daughter and her beau are here for a bit of a visit. It's good to see them.
In today's' post, I have another page for Art Journal Journey and the In the Air/In the Sky theme.
I think of this man as a weatherman on the TV giving a  report about what is going on in the sky. But maybe he is a man in the future trying to sell tickets for a vacation journey to the moon.
I started with a piece of black cardstock. I traced a stencil of the "globe" with a white pen. Then I added the moon images, the man and some letter stickers. Then I stamped the white stars.
Hoping everyone is having a great weekend AND I hope to see your art over at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks for visiting.

Ha, this looks great - reminds me of our 'Sky at Night' programme, which is a VERY long lasting programme we get late at night - I even remember it from my childhood, so it's been around a long time. Love the idea of him selling tickets for a holiday on the moon! Great page, Erika. Enjoy your long break. We have one, too but ours is for Whit, the last Bank Holiday before Christmas until the end of August. It's raining in my part of the world and hasn't been very bright all week, though the rest of the country have had some lovely weather... you just never know how it will go in the UK.
Enjoy your daughter!

I LOVE how you have used all the phases of the moon. This was absolutely STUNNING. We both had moons in mind today, but I think yours is SO much better. I love this and your weather/future man. This is a super entry for your theme at Art Journal Journey. It's one of my favorite entries this month.

Cool page Erika - I think the possibility of vacations somewhere in space in future is both exciting and a bit daunting too. Love the theme you have chosen but sorry I haven't been abe to join in before now.
Hope you are having a fab weekend with your family.

Great idea of this art piece. And it looks like nice weather for the holiday weekend, for us in the New England area. :-)

This is really cool - all the phases of the moon in the framework of the universe - an astronomical treat.

Love this picture you have shown us today - and I think the ideas you have for a caption are brilliant. He certainly could be a weatherman giving us the news about what we can expect but I just love the idea of him trying to sell tickets for a vacation journey to the moon. Just Brilliant!

Sounds like a good weekend with your daughter. That matters far more than the beach!
