Things With Wings in the Sky

Hi there everyone. I can't believe it is Thursday, May 30, already. This week is flying by. This month is flying by. In a blink of an eye it will be June.
And since there isn't much time left this month, I am going to share another journal page
for Art Journal Journey. The challenge this month has been In the Air/In the Sky.
I made my page by starting with a Gelli printed and stenciled page. I drew and painted the leaves on the left, and then added some of these trim flowers. I found a whole packet of them on Etsy and I love the texture they add. I then used another punch out from Studio Light , and I die cut the birds on blue paper. I stamped with with a diamond stamp to give them a bit of details. Then I trimmed back the bottom right corner and attached some green paper behind the cut area.
And then  I added this quote.
The newest challenge at Moo Mania is Things with Wings so I am going to link this page up to that challenge also.
So after gorgeous weather last weekend we have been having more cold and damp/wet days. Sounds like today will be more of the same before we get to see the sun again.
Guess that works when you have to be at work.
I hope everyone  else is getting good weather and those of you in the tornado zone get some improvement there soon.
Thanks for visiting.

Wonderful page, and I love that great quote. The cat makes a wonderful contrast to the shades of blue and green. Enjoy your day, hugs, Valerie

A pretty page. Rabbits or other critters and birds were Ink's favorite things to watch. I'm not sure if he dreamt of having wings, but he dreamt of chasing winged things or things that ran as if they had wings. If you look up at the sky today, you'll get wet. Hope the weather clears soon and June is a better weather month than April or May. Have a good day

I LOVE all about this amazing page - the quote, the background all the lovely details and of course the fact that it stands for AJJ and Moo Mania & More makes me over the moon happy this day!!! ♥YOU♥ simply rock - what an inspiring month this was - I am really sad that it flew by so fast - this would be a topic and a admirable host for ever !!!!

Big big hug - enjoy your day!

It is a fantastic geli print base you used Erika. The page does look great, a good idea to stamp over the birds they really look as if they are moving over the page. I am also grinning after seeing the cat you added.
Have a super day.

You found the perfect quote. I'm not sure which of the elements I like best, and they all come together so well :)

Lovely artwork, and I like that cat with the crown on the bottom.

This is fabulous, Erika. Any journal page with a cat in it has my vote. One with a crown is even better. Those flowers were a good buy, and I like how you treated the page edge, too. Thanks for sharing this with us using your theme at Art Journal Journey. You have been a SUPER host this month.

This is marvellous, Erika. I do like the background and there's a rabbit there, a green one. Love the blue birds flying in formation (an Air Show?) and also love the crowned cat which you didn't mention. Did he come along after you had finished?

This is probably my favourite of the ones I have seen. Fabulous background and that cat makes for a great central focus!
