T Stands for a Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi everyone. This year St. Patrick's Day falls on our T day, so today I am going to celebrate green in my post.
I will begin with a double spread in the vintage Irish travel journal I created. This of course works with Eileen's green challenge at Art Journal Journey.
I began my page with some scraps of green paper. Then I did some background stamping as well as some inking. I also created a St. Patrick's Day tag with plans to use it on my page. I  finished the page off with some items I had in my stash and also some images I received in a pack I bought off of Etsy.

And how about a green drink? I hope you stop by and visit us at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog for this week's T.
I never go to MacDonald's, but one thing I happen to like is their Shamrock shake, only available around St. Patrick's Day.  I think once a year I can have a shake from them and just enjoy it. This past weekend my husband went through drive through and got us each a shake. And I did enjoy it.
The green is perfect for this March 17.

So I am not going to write about my stressful day of work as we try to move into online learning mode (no more days going in for awhile at least). I actually left and went home and worked from home. Much better for sure. and only 60 days left until retirement. Smile.

So have a cup of T, your choice, and have a wonderful green St. Patrick's Day.
Stay healthy my friends.

Happy St. Patrick's day!! Love your journal spread Erika. And oh my, now I want a Shamrock shake-yum!! Many years I would go and get one at this time of year(the only time I go to McDonald's and the only thing I ever have gotten there) but I haven't done it in some years now...perhaps next year;) Happy T day!

Happy pages and so green. Just like my backyard. It's so weird that we still don't have snow on the ground. Not complaining, mind you. Enjoy working from home and your countdown to retirement. Happy St. Patrick's Day and stay safe.

Hi I have never had a Mcdonald's shamrock shake-looks pretty though.
once things are set up-might be nice for you to be able to teach from home-hope not too stressful-and with retirement around the corner-hopefully it will go fast for you-loved your journal page too-hugs and Happy T Kathy

Just looked into my cup (with a green frog) and it was... empty!!!
So... no idea how my tea looked like!
Yes, Maccas. Only in an emergency. Like IKEA they sell so cheap, there can be no quality no more! (We years ago got an IKEA hot-dog for €1 and got sick. We were not surprised).

Cool color, though!!!

A happy T-day, no matter what comes to us.

Sorry to hear you had a stressful day, you should make a chuff chart for your retirement date, as my husband calls them, a calendar to you and I but I think it's an army saying when they are on countdown to annual leave.
Your drink looks delicious, what flavour is it? We sometimes have a Latte from Old McDonalds, as our GSs call it, when in England as it's quite nice and far cheaper than the other cafes around where they live, we take it to the seafront and sit on a bench! Right now that sounds pretty good, oh well I will go off and make a cuppa.
Take care, Happy T Day

What an absolutely wonderful page - love all those St Patricks day connections! I have never seen Shamrock Shakes - but then I don't go to MacDonalds - I'm imagining pistachio flavour?
You are definitely getting close to that retirement date and if some of it spent at home than all the better for not having to face traffic!
We are also being advised to avoid contact with others and are going to make some plans about what we will do! At the moment we are both enjoying using a new cookery book! Happy T Day! Chrisx

Your journal spread is wonderful! Everywhere I look, I love it! Is the old photo of you? The Saturday Evening Post cover makes me smile. I’ve never had the green shake, but may try it some other year. This isn’t the year to go to McDs, staying put instead.

Love your 'green' journal page. Love the Norman Rockwell type lady baking a shamrock cake.
A shamrock shake? What does that taste like? I am like you. I have never set a foot in Mc Donalds in my life and I probably never will. Consequently I have no idea what a shamrock shake tastes like.
I hope you can calm down now you are working from home. I hadn't realized you were so close to retirement. Woohoo! Nearly there!
Happy T-Day my friend,
and stay safe,
Hugs,
Lisca

Love this journal, Erika! More great pages.

Thank you for sharing them with us at AJJ.

Hang in there 60 more days. It must be super-stressful having to radically change the way you do your job on the fly.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Happy T-Day! Eileen xx

Another awesome journal spread in your Irish journal Erika, you have so many interesting additions added and lovely images.
THE GREEN SHAKE HAS ME CURIOUS, WHAT WAS THE FLAVOUR?
I hope the move to on line learning goes well, a big change in the students way of getting down to school work, they must have to be very self motivated.
I can imagine your smile as you count down the days to.... WORK FREEDOM and the changes it brings to you enjoying being retired.
Happy T day wishes Erika.

Fabulous St. Patrick's Day page spread! The background looks amazing and I'm loving the tag that you created - gorgeous 😁. The green shake looks interesting, what flavour is it? How exciting to be retiring in 60 days too, soon you won't know how you managed to fit work into your new retired lifestyle ...lol 😉. Take care and sending happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

That shake looks really delicious. Even more so, now that I can't get to McDonald's!

Your art journal page looks great. And that green McDonalds shake looks delicious. Thank you for leaving positive comments on my blog. I'm very stressed out, as you can probably tell from my posts. I had originally planned to have Teddy making a joke about me in this week's Tea-Day post, but in that one week span of time since last week's post, things went downhill rapidly in the area where I am, so no jokes from Teddy. Stay healthy and safe.

After ATT ran a new line and new connectors, I was finally back online. Just when I thought things were stable, I was once again offline for over nine hours. At least this time, I was able to get back on. Sorry I’m such a bad T Tuesday host this week. That goes DOUBLE for AJJ. I'm really letting EVERYONE down.

I truly love the St. Patrick's Day spread. I'd love to comment on the entire thing, like Sat Even. Post cover, as well as the four shamrocks instead of hearts. But time is NOT on my side, so I'll just tell you how much I really, really love this.

I also think you picked a great T Tuesday drink. Even though I'm also not a Micky D fan, I think this is a great way to celebrate this important fun day. Thanks for sharing your incredible art and your shake with us for T this week dear friend.

GLAD to read you are staying safe. I needed groceries today, so since I couldn't get on the internet, bought groceries. No potatoes to be found, and limits on soup, eggs, milk, and other goodies. Aldi had NO veggies in cans and very few fresh veggies. I'll have to make do, since I'm not going to another store and risk even MORE fear of catching this virus. I sprayed everything with Lysol when I brought it into the house. Yes, I'm really paranoid, and I hope that didn't stress you even more. I'd hate for that to happen, dear.
