A Splash of Yellow.

Another weekend is almost in the books. It was a busy one for me but this Sunday afternoon I managed to squeeze in a little art time. That meant I could finish up a few pages I had begun.
Here's one.
I hope it is enough yellow for Rike's Yellow challenge over at Art Journal Journey. And also  I hope it works for Moo Mania and their challenge of squares. My squares are more rectangles but I think they work for the challenge. I hope at least.
When I think of yellow I first think of daffodils and sunshine. I didn't add sunshine to my page but I did give you some blue skies.
I have no idea what the Japanese writing says, since I cut these out of a magazine.
I hope everyone had a good weekend.

This is beautiful. A bit of yellow on a blue background is great, and reminds me of spring. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie

I simply LOVE this - the fabulous yellows against this gorgeous blue - simply amazing! Your daffodils are fantastic and your flower arrangement reminds me of my "Ikebana" hobby time.
A fantastic yellow entry for the AJJ collection Erika! Thank you very much and of course it is perfect for the Squares theme at Moo Mania & More! Thank you very much for joining Moo Mania & More as well!
This vibrant entry brightens my snowy and dark morming - yes we have new snow again and still snows here.

Happy start of your week!
Hugs, Susi

Wonderful page, Erika. I LOVE daffs and always bought my Mum around 10 bunches for Mother's Day - until she moved to New Zealand, lol! Now I buy them for myself, in her honour :-)

I spy one or two little squares on that page, so I'm absolutely sure it qualifies for MMM ;-)

Have a great week!

Oh yes, it's enough yellow, dear Erika! Your daffodils are amazing and I like your Japanese words stripes as addition, and your blue sky is just gorgeous!
Thank you so much for this beautiful first entry to my theme at AJJ!
Wish you a happy week!

This is fabulous. I love the flowers on the blue background. Green, yellow, and blue make a fabulous combination. This is simply wonderful and I am so tickled you shared this with us using Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey.

The lovely sunshine daffodils are the focal point of this page and for me that is perfect for Rike's challenge. I am a fan of daffodils, they have a special meaning for me and they exude warmth and happiness. Their complimentary colour is blue and you have chosen the perfect shade of blue imo to use as your background - great page!

Great sunshiny yellow page, Erika. Love the daffodils - one of my favorite flowers. I see 3 squares on your page, so I think you're good to go for Moo Mania Too. Eileen xx
