Not Paris, But I Wish

Happy Friday everyone. Time for another journal page for Elizabeth's challenge at Art Journal Journey
My page today all began with the back of this old style playing card I found in my stash. Let me give you a close up.
See the heart above her window. That's what caught my eye.
This lovely vintage lady looks rather sad looking out the window and just watching life. I decided I needed to change that perspective so I used this cheery (cherry) page with the Eiffel Tower on it. A view of that would be worth gazing out the window. Even if at first people did find it ugly, she loves it and could look at it all day.
So I finished off the page with a few more details like the stapled string, a cut out and stamped heart, a quote and some little square sequins.
I like how this page also makes me think of spring with cherries and a bit of light green.
That's it for me today as I am off to work.
Have a super start to your weekend.
And of course a good Friday too.

The heart journal has become beautiful Erika, with this background to represent as spring with the green and the cherries. The lady now sees something nice the Eiffel Tower in spring when she looks out the window. A nice idea!
Thank you, I also wish you a nice Friday and a wonderful weekend, Elke

You gave her a lovely view though I don't think she looks sad. More pensive. Maybe trying to think what she should wear for a stroll down the Champs Elysee Hope the school day flies by for you!

I love how you juxtaposed the women gazing sadly out the window with an image to bring joy! Yes, how IS it that was found ugly in the beginning -- because it was so new? Who would imagine!

How utterly adorable, Erika. The extra details made this a fabulous entry. I like how you used the stapled string, the stamped heart, the fabulous Eiffel Tower, and the sequins. They all play into this playuing card you used as your focal image. Tank you8 so much for yet another lovely and inspiring entry using my theme at Art Journal Journey.

That would indeed be a lovely sight :) I spend a lot of time looking out windows at my bird feeders lol, so the pose itself doesn't look at all sad to me. Paris improves it, though ;)

Beautiful, and no... she looks like she smiles and is happy, or at least content. And another earworm! "Dream, dream, dream....".
Great work!

What an adorable page Erika. I love how you have used the red heart for your sentiment and what a gorgeous playing card to set you off on your Parisian page. A place I have visited many times, and each time it holds something new for me.
