T Stands for the Tourist Season Wrap Up

It is Tuesday once again so Happy T day everyone. Yesterday was Labor Day here in the US, which is always a little sad. Although the summer weather isn't over, Labor Day is the traditional end of the summer season in my area.  Lots of  places board up and close until next May, which seems like a long way off. In another way, with fewer tourists around the traffic will be better and life gets back to normal.
So this T Day I want to give an end of season goodbye to one of my favorite local seasonal places.
Last weekend we decided we'd take one last trip to Pop's for the season. I've shown you Pop's before. It's a little place on the side of the road with reasonable prices and huge servings.
And obviously lots of people agree with me on that.
I had to have one last lobster roll for the season.
Along with a diet Coke.
And a small side of onion rings I split with my husband. You can see his fish sandwich on the left side of the photo.
My tastebuds will be impatiently waiting for May when they reopen.
The good news is my waistline won't miss the fried food.
Stop by Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog and see what the T Gang has been up to and maybe you'd love to join in with the fun too.
And I also have a tag to share with you today.
I'm joining in with Tag Tuesday's latest challenge -Time/Clocks. I made my tag by first stamping the clocks and the words. Then I sprayed the tag with some inks and once they dried I added a printed transparency. Then I added a bit of paper tape, a TH relative, flower and butterfly, and finally some leaf shaped cloth trim.
That's all for me today. Have a great T day and thanks for stopping by.

The lobster roll looks so good. There are still 15 days of Summer left. Still sad to think Summer will be over soon. Like your tag, an eternity to wait for Summer to roll around again. Have a good day. Stay cool

That’s a lot of food that looks so delicious! I don’t know if I could eat it all but I would give a good college try. I love your tag!! I love the burnt umber look with all the aged look and the 1920’s flapper. Great tag!

That's a fabulous tag, Erika. I love the colors you chose, too. Great transparency and lovely TH relative.

So glad you bright us back to Pops for the end of the season food and drink. The lobster roll looks like you need a fork to eat it. I'd never get that in MY mouth! Of course, I would be just as happy with the onion rings and french fries. Thanks for sharing your art, your lobster roll and your diet Coke with us for T this Tuesday, dear.

I love your tag-and the food at your favorite spot looks so good-I have never had a lobster roll-would love to taste the inside of this.
When we lived in Illinois we were right on the border with Wisconsin and Lake Geneva-so when Labor Day weekend was over -same so much less traffic.
We are still hot here this week so far so still feels like summer
Happy T

It is a wonderful tag as well, it tells its own story of time in all the lovely detail.
Happy T day wishes.

It is sad to see the observance of the end of summer. We don't have places that are only open seasonally, but that's got to be a shock to the system, almost like a different place. Those onion rings have my mouth watering! Happy T Tuesday

What a beautiful tag. Very oldie-worldy. Love the colors.
Is that the queue to get a table at the restaurant? Must be a very popular place. Looking at the photos I see why. The food looks really yummy.
Yes, summer is over. Here my teacher friends are going back to work next week, and the young people we know have gone back to college. The village is a lot quieter. The weather is still very warm and sunny, so now us oldies go on holiday. We are leaving on Monday, traveling to the Uk.
Happy T Day,
Lisca

I understand the mixed feeling when the seasonal people leave, Erika. We have a saying, "We love to see them come and we love to see them go." I'm glad you got to Pop's one more time before they board it up. Lobster rolls - I dream of those!

Beautiful tag. I love your autumn palette and all the stamping.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

So many wonderful layers full of color on your tag. Gorgeous, Erika!

That lobster roll looks as yummy as the last time you shared. I can see how that would be one of your favorite places to visit. I guess it is probably a good thing that certain places are seasonal. It helps you look forward to their opening season again.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Here is the normal chaotic life, nothing special. I bet you have much to do now at school!
Keep cool!
