The month is starting to wind down. On Friday we'll be half way through the first quarter of the year at school-that means we're 1/8 of the way through the school year. Didn't we just start the year? Boy, time is flying.
I have a page today for Yvonne's fantasy challenge over at Art Journal Journey. My vintage style page is all about how I used to love to play school and teacher when I was a kid. I didn't expect to grow up and become a teacher at that time, but that's what I did.
And I also have this fall inspired tag for Tag Tuesday. This gentleman has his fall coat on and he's ready to go out and enjoy a beautiful autumn day.
Hope you have a beautiful autumn day in your world.
Thanks for visiting.

Had to laugh at you reckoning away the school year, I used to do the same. And the journal page is fantastic. And I love the beautiful autumn tag. I had a great walk this morning along the Rhine. Thanks for joining us at Tag Tuesday, hugs, Valerie
Terrific journal page and tag. The gentleman looks well wrapped up and ready for the cold weather.
Thank you for commenting at Jumbled Crafts
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
This page is stunning - I love the fancy background and all the statements about learning! Yes I remember also that I often played teacher as I was in primary school. But never after that time...lol.
I was happy to leave school after 13 years to be honest!
A super entry for Yvonne's theme!
Thank you once again!
Time really flies, already 1/8 of the way through the school year???? Good for you - nearer to the retirement!
The Autum tag is just wonderful ...
We have sun but in the mornings there is already freeze...unbelievable - we have to heat through the nights already.... brrr.
Hugs, Susi
How ironic. I never once considered being a teacher, yet ended up doing just that when I was a teaching assistant working on my Ph.D.. Your fantasy became a reality. Be careful what you wish for or dream about, I guess! It's a fun, fun, FUN journal entry. I love the colors, the vintage quality, and of course, the fantasy. So glad you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
That's a beautiful and very warm autumn tag. I can feel autumn coming on in your world right now.
Your page captures school. Reading your school days tag got me humming the little tune: school days, school days, cheerful golden rule days. Reading, and writing, and 'rithmetic. Talk to the tune of the hickory stick. I forget the rest. Your Fall inspired colors are further along than the colors here. I think the hot and humid weather has put things behind schedule. I'm not complaining. Enjoy the warm day today
I love your school days journal page Erika, fantastic images and quotes. School days always seem to be remembered as good days. I also smiled when I read how you were ticking off the days into the school year. When a new term began I always had the date of the next break ticked and underlined in my diary.
Thank you foe another awesome page for this months theme at AJJ.
Your autumn tag looks beautiful as well, with the lovely autumn colours you used for the background.

What a great school page, Erika, with all the "wise" sayings - "dear old golden rule days" haha! and I like the definitions of
the word "learn", certainly food for thought there.
Nice Autumn tag too and the gentleman looks very dapper. Autumn hasn't quite arrived here yet, in fact it has got warmer again.
What a so gorgeous Art journal page Erika !! wonderful background, we can remember when we were little children, school was a good place not only for learning, but also for playing and spend time with other children. My first favorite book was the Cinderella.
Your tag is also amazing, love the autumns colours.
I wish you a very happy thursday, big hugs, Caty
Love your journal page and the pretty fall tag you made!!! Great artwork!
No doubt, time does fly.... both you pages are lovely, how fun you pretended to be a teacher, and now you are...
I adore your fall tag, such a gorgeous background on that one!!
i thoroughly adore your journal page, just gorgeous and totally nostalgic in the sweetest way. and a beautiful autumn tag too! xo
Although those rich fall colors and wonderful vintage images. I just love the combinations you used here, Erika. Both of them work so beautifully!
Both your school journal page and your Autumnal tag have a beautifully refined quality. The balanced composition is enhanced by the play of colour.
