Happy Friday everyone. The work week is almost over and the weekend is almost here. Yesterday he weather warmed up and the morning's snow melted away. We're still white, but at least there is a little less on white out there.
Moo Mania's newest theme is women, and I had made this western style page in my journal awhile back. (Ignore the top left corner that I couldn't flatten out no matter how many books I put on top of it.) I think there's something fascinating about cowgirls, though I am sure the reality of the time is not glamorous at all.
I added a little bit of lace and cloth trim since we are talking about girls. The saloon is a die cut and the other images are stamps some oldies from Acey Deucy, Oxford Impressions and also Artistic Outpost. I don't know what company made the stamped image at the top of the page.

Here now a lot of rain arrived and let bigs drops on my fresh cleaned windows...lol!

Wow, Erika, I haven't seen your western journal in a long time. This is wonderful. I agree there is something romantic about women of the old west. I think they had a lot more freedom than their eastern seaboard "sisters." This is a great entry for MM&M.
WWoo, this is a wonderful Art page Erika !! Love the so beautiful background, the girls stamps, the lace and the house, and, of course the lovely blue flower ! Amazing ! Don´t worry, my journal pages are also like your top page :) sometimes I think the pages are their own life lol..

A fun page, Erika and it's perfect for the Moo Mania and More challenge. Must get something done for that... I agree with you - I don't think it would've been very glamorous at all in that era but cowgirls always seem like such amazing rebels. I think we both watched too many western films!

A great western page Erika, I think these women must have had hard lives - not glamourous at all like in the movies. We've not had much snow at all this year - although there's still time.

I suspect that it was only romantic in the movies. I am sure that the real life of a cowboy was a gruelling, backbreaking job, taken by men who had little education or trades skills to do anything else.
