T Stands for Book Club

Hello ladies (and any gentlemen also). Time for T again. Time to share our drink related posts over at
Last Thursday was book club night for me. We had 2 meetings scheduled over the summer but somehow they never worked our and we ended up cancelling until this past week. It was a very wet morning but luckily it cleared out by after school.
We decided to meet at a restaurant this time, which we don't usually do. Since we are all teachers, we could meet  after school  and enjoy what turned out to be a beautiful evening.
This is the view from the restaurant.
And here's the restaurant. It wasn't very crowded because when the rain cleared out, the temperatures dropped off. But it wasn't windy and the sun actually felt pretty warm.
I had some water to start, and here's where we met. Kittery is the southernmost town in the state of Maine, and right over the river from where we all teach.
I also had a beer with my meal. I just love the design on this can.
I had a  fish sandwich, fries and coleslaw.   And since I had brought yogurt for lunch, but didn't eat it as it just didn't appeal to me during the rainy part of the day, I managed to eat almost all the food on this plate.
Nope. There was no room for dessert.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday.

What a beautiful, beautiful view! And your meal looks so good too. Glad the weather allowed for a nice place outdoors to meet without a crowd too:) Happy T day!

What a fun way to have book club AND a good meal, too. Yes, I'm now very hungry, especially after seeing your french fries. That is a beautiful area and you had a gorgeous view. It would have been hard to concentrate on the book at hand because of that view.

Thanks for sharing your fish and fries, your beer, and your water with us for T this Tuesday, Erika. This was a beautiful place to hold your club meeting.

Yes, that looks like a really nice place to get together with your bookclub members. Tell us about your bookclub. Do you all read the same book or do you all buy one book which then circulates among the members?
I agree, that beer can is very interesting. I think I would choose it because of the design. But it's brown ale and I happen to like that.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

That looks a very tasty meal you had. It sounded a great idea to meet for your book club in a restaurant. You must have enjoyed your meal after only having yogurt for lunch.
We meet up for our book club in the local small library, one of our efforts to keep it open for the small villages around us.
Happy T day wishes, the beer bottle design looked great. do you keep your favourite deigns?

Gorgeous view! I haven't been to Kittery in decades. Use to stop with a friend on our way up to York and visit the Kittery Trading Post. Is that still there? The beer can design is cool. The figure reminds me of the Gorton Fisherman. Your dinner looks awesome though I would have left room for dessert. Happy T Day

What a view! I'd be tempted to have my meetings at this restaurant every time. That plate would be a meal that would suit me fine :) Happy T Tuesday!

The food and the location all looked good, Erika, but i was wondering what book was discussed? I have joined a daytime book group at our local library and this month's discussion was Lilac Girls and I just learned an evening book group will be discussing it next month, so now I can attend two! The daytime group's current read is Catch 22 and while I just started it, it will not become a favorite. I plan to watch the movie as well.

Oh, what a nice evening, view, and meal you had. I wish I could go to Maine again. We visited our son last August. He lives in the woods, near Skowhegan. We had a lovely time. Happy T Day!
