T Stands for Summer Winds Down

Hi everyone. Today (Tuesday) isn't suppose to be too bad but chilly temperatures have arrived here in New Hampshire. But now that it is October, I guess we can expect that. I think I'll be putting my sandals away pretty soon. 😒 Temperatures at night are suddenly  down close to  freezing.
This past weekend a friend from North Carolina up visiting, and Saturday it was a gorgeous day, so we took our friend out for a boat ride. (It is my guess is that it might have been our last boating day for the season. It is no fun boating when it is cold.).

The celebrate the warm day, we stopped for a summery lunch before we headed out on the water.
Yup, probably my last lobster roll until next year since they just aren't as appealing once the weather gets cold.
And for my T day drink  I had a diet Pepsi with my sandwich.
And later on when we were boating, we docked the boat and stopped at a waterside restaurant for a little refresher. I had a glass of red wine sangria.
Stop by    Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to join us for T this week.

And I haven't shown you any boating photos since June, so here's a few. Today I have photos of those hard working men and women who get those lobsters for all those sandwiches, as well as  lobster boats and related photos.

Lobstering is a vibrant local industry here in New Hampshire as you can see.
Have a fabulous Tuesday everyone.
And thanks so much for visiting.

Hi I really enjoyed all of your boating photos and your lobster roll looks delicious-I have never had one.

Great photos of the last days of Summer. Your food looked delicious, especially those onion rings. I liked the photo of the seagulls hitching a ride on the lobster boat. The nights here in CT are getting cooler too, but not near freezing yet. The coldest has been low 50s (10 C), but Friday night is going down to 43 (6.1 C). Happy T-Day! (My post won't go up until tomorrow. My month of Halloween kick off starts at midnight. Unfortunately right now I don't have enough Halloween themed things to post every day. I'm behind on my artwork for the holiday.)

Oh my, I have to say- all those boat photos- my favorite!!! Hard to believe i get so seasick, and even car sick on really long drives especially loving the sea and boats as much as I do. And the lobster roll-YUM!! Alas, I didn't get one on our recent visit to Cape May. With such good breakfast each morning we skipped lunches(I brought yogurts from home for that) and just went for dinner:) Happy T day!

Oh, I do love the water - when it´s warm! Sadly we don´t live near the ocean.

Temps are down here, too, brrr...

Wasn't Friday and Saturday gorgeous weather? So glad you could get out for one last boat ride and a lobster roll. I had my last lobster roll of the season last week. God bless the lobstermen. Happy T Day

Oh Erika, I love all the boats and buoys and such. How I will miss the water, but you're so lucky to have the boat. I know what you might mean about it when things are cold/cool but sometimes if bundled, it's nice on an autumn day when you can see color on the shore. I think lobster rolls would taste great even in the middle of winter!

A fabulous post! It looks like a wonderful day with friends, you really are a girl after my own heart - what could be better than a boat trip, lobster roll and sangria, so yummy 😀. I'm loving your baseball cap too, go Red Sox! Wishing you a lovely week and Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x

Lovely post. Again, I am jealous of you having a lobster roll. I didn't know you would loose your taste for them because of cold weather; just have soup with it. :) To celebrate October, I had pumpkin soup today at Panera with a free cinnamon crunch bagel. So scrumptious. Didn't take photos so it won't make it to my blog.
Happy T Day!

I am SO sorry it has taken me so long to visit. I'm having a terrible time with my internet. I called ATT three times today and they told me it might be my modem. However, after I got frustrated enough to threaten to go elsewhere, I was suddenly back online.

I've never seen a lobster roll before the way you showed it. Now I know what all the hype is about. It looks WONDERFUL, but so do those fries. And your diet Pepsi would have been great here, since our temps are still quite hot, hot, hot.

Did you notice you had a 42 in one of your photos? I wonder if Divers and Sundry noticed, too. It was in the one with the sangria. Lots of drinks to choose from this week, dear.

I admit I was mesmerized by all the photos you shared of your boats in the water. I enjoyed seeing the lobster pots and the buoys, too. Thanks for sharing these great photos from the water, the drinks, and your lobster roll with us for T this Tuesday.

Love the pictures especially the 2 lazy birds hitching a ride on the back of the boat:) The crab or is that lobster?? made my mouth drool. Yesterday it was 17 and beautiful. Today it was 30 with the humidex of 40C but, tomorrow it is to go down to 15C! I hate this yo-yo

It looks like you had a good day boating with your friends, all the photos looked lovely and good sunny days.
Another delicious lobster roll, you mentioned it as your last till next year, is this a seasonal shellfish in the USA or can you buy it all year?
Belated T day wishes.

Wonderful photos of the fishing industry. I for one and thankful that those individuals go out and catch seafood. We love our fish, shrimp and lobster. Enjoy those cooler temps. PA is still in the 80's and I am wishing for cooler weather.
Happy Belated Tea Day,
Kate

Thank you for taking me on a boat trip. I really enjoyed it and seeing all those fisher boats. Of course your lobster roll looks really lovely. It is the first time you have photographed it close-up, so now i know what a lobster roll looks like. It looks really nice and something that I would also like.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Those photographs are really beautiful Erika !! It´s glad to see you so happy, enjoy the "hot" weather, here, it´s still very hot, 30º C today, so, we have to wait a little bit to put on jackets.
Sure you spent a formidable T-day.
I wish you a very nice Friday, and send big hugs,
