Ghosties and Ghoulies...and Witches Too

Hi everyone.  Hope you are having a nice weekend. Time for a little playful spooky art as we get closer to Halloween. Here's another collaged spread from my Witches Halloween book.
You can see I used torn bits of paper. Then I gave it a little white ink spray. Some of the images are stamped, some are die cuts, some are little plastic bits and I painted the caldron. . Then I added a small witch's broom I had.
You can see my painted caudron better here. The expression on the cat makes me laugh.
And I don't know if you are getting sick of my autumn photos, but here's a few I took on my walk yesterday. I usually walk the same direction because there is less traffic that way so the views probably look similar.
Do you like my new fingerless gloves? I found them on sale last weekend, and I had been looking for some. They worked out perfect on this chilly morning stroll.

 I love the seedy remains.
We still have some color but we lost so much of foliage with all the winds. Now there's lots of bare branches in between the leaves.

And there's a few blooms left in the garden.
My hydrangeas may not be at their peak but my chrysanthemums are.
Thanks so much for visiting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and start to your  newweek.

Fun pages. I love the expression on the black cat and the 3 witches on the bottom are making me think of kids going out trick or treating. I like your fingerless gloves. I wear them all the time as my hands always get so cold. Still quite a bit of color left. I like the blues of the berries and the hydrangeas as well as the brilliant blue sky at this time of the year. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Catching up here, your New England views are awesome. My favorite part of the country! Spooky Art is one of my favorites to work on, hoping for some Halloween painting inspiration now. My Hydraengas never took off. I had a couple years of foliage, but no flowers. I think the woods around us don’t allow enough sun. Yours are beautiful! I remember dried flowers heads in my Grandmothers Delaware River home.

What a great spooky page spread... so many cool torn papers adding depth and detail and eerie images. Love the broomstick! I have to confess, I've never quite got the fingerless gloves thing... it's my fingers that get cold, not so much the palm of my hand!! The photos are great - thank you for sharing your walk. Love the berries, and those leaves against the stunning blue sky.

I love that witch silhouette and the way you fixed her broom. I'm enjoying your Autumn color photos. I'm not sure we'll get good color here this year. You never can tell around here...

Love your ghosts and ghoulies and the gloves are fun. Love fingerless gloves!

Oh, your color is to die for -- you must love every step of your walk when you can do it in such a lovely spot!

Wow, you are REALLY in the Halloween spirit. Gotta love it. That cauldron is amazing. Great job.

LOVE the photo of the road with the trees on either side. What a great spot to walk. Your gloves look great, but my fingers are what get cold when I need gloves. I tried fingerless and they just didn't work for me. I'm happy they work good for you.

I'm loving your spooky paintings. Of course, you had a little witch's broom just handy to add to it! Douglas want to know it he can borrow it.
I also love your autumn photos - especially the fluffy seed heads and the faded hydrangeas.
Looks like your autumn is a good one.

The stance and the look on the face of the cat reminds me of my beloved Tabitha (lost her several years ago but had her for 19 years). She used to dance sideways just like that in front of the dog to get him excited so he would chase her around the house. Such fun days!
There is so much to look at in your pages that covers such a lot of the essence of Halloween.
Thanks also for the pictures of your walk. Always a joy to see.
hugs, Neet xx-
