Hello. I hope everyone is having a good week. It's Friday (or since I am posting Thursday night, it is just about Friday), and we are already more than half way through October. Holy cow.
I have another page for Eileen's Dream challenge at Art Journal Journey. Here's a spread from my autumn board book.
By October our days are getting more than noticeably shorter here in New Hampshire. (And maybe/probably where you are also, unless of course you live south of the equator.) It won't be that much longer until the clocks change and it will be dark by 5 pm (17 o'clock).
Eeeks.
I made my page by collaging various papers. With the lighter background I could stamp several images in black and brown inks. Then I added a couple images to finish off my page. On the left I used a printed background, a fame and a TH relative. I cut off most of the body to get the framed view. And on right I used an image I had in my stash, which I stamped with the Dream and Discover quote.
Wishing you all a great start to your weekend.

This is a lovely art journal spread!
I'm not very fond of the shorter days either even though our days here in California aren't quite as short as yours up north. Still... (but you have the longer days in summer). I wish mornings were lighter, it is more difficult for me to get out of bed when it is still dark.
Gorgeous page, lots to see, lovely colours. The days are shortening here, too, and at the end of the month our clocks go back, too. Time for chilly, dark evenings! Hugs, Valerie
This is really unique, Erika. I like the background you created and the collage you created. That owl is adorable. It, and the message, are perfect for Eileen's theme at Art Journal Journey. It is grand.
The different backgrounds remind me of wallpaper. Like wandering from room to room as you look at the different images. Not looking forward to the time change or having to vacate the sun room as it's getting to chilly to hang out there at night.
Lovely magical spread, Erika. You have some really cool stamps: the clouds, sun and mushrooms seem perfect for autumn. I love the owl image that you stamped "Dream and Discover." Thank you for linking this to my dream theme at AJJ. Eileen xx
This is a lovely spread, Erika. The different papers int he background collage really give it a good deal of texture. It definitely has the fall feel.
A great page Erika with fantastic details and super background stamps for the time of the year. I love the owl with those the words.
Its getting darker here as well we have the electric light on now about 4 in the afternoon, our clocks will also go back soon, winter for sure is on its way.

Great collage background, Erika. Really inspiring. You created a beautiful page, my friend. And, yes, I hate when it is dark by 5pm! In Greece this happens during winter. Kisses!
Fabulous collage art Erika!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Alison xx
Beautiful page! The collages papers and stamps look fabulous and I love the owl image and how you added the wording - perfect 😁. I hope you had a Happy Friday and wishing you a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Jo x
Sorry I have not been around lately - when I came on here it was to comment on your latest spread for Art Journal Journey but my eyes were caught immediately by the new blog header. How fabulous! We don't do Halloween here in the UK quite as well as you do but I do, by now, have a nice little display ready for Halloween. Just need to get it out on display.
I love the page you have done - the papers are so interesting that I could sit and stare at them for simply ages. I love your shroom stamps!
Hugs, Neet xx
Beautiful collaging - that owl is so evocative, and with the added Tiny Toadstools, this page captures something about the mysticism of autumn and the nights drawing in. Lovely.
