Happy Friday! I can't believe how fast this week flew by. And July is just flying. But it always seems to do that. And I know, most months seem to fly by also.
So today I have a page from my summer 2020 journal. It started when I made this tag for Sandie's SEA theme at Tag Tuesday. I thought this swirly paper looked like waves. Then I added this stamped image, a stamped quote and some gold stickers and gold pen lines.
And I then turned it into a page for Art Journal Journey and the When It's Hot challenge. I used this blue paint splattered page and tied the tag in by adding some hand drawn and fussy cut clouds.
I also stamp the seagulls because what is a day at the sea without a few gulls?
So yesterday I finally finished creating art on the all pages that came in the spiral bound journal I am using for this When It's Hot challenge. Hurrah. I've had a lot of fun with it, but like all projects, it is time to move onto something new. And now I just need to finish up putting things away in my spare room so I can finally get that project done too.
Have a great start to your weekend!

Your tag and page just screams Summer. congratulations on completing your journal. Stay cool this weekend.
Hi Erik, love how you made your happy sea page, great, fresh colours, too. Just got back from the Rhine where the gulls were very noisy! Have fun getting your crafty space finished, and then enjoy working there. Hugs, Valerie
Lovely idea to combine the two art types. This is beautiful. I continue not to get rain where I am in CT. Today is a 40% chance, which means more like 1% chance. Then the heat wave starts. Ugh.
This appeals to me, and everyone else, trapped by heat, humidity and staying home. It feels like breathable cool air is available once again!
Beautiful.
Wonderful tag, thanks for joining us at Tag Tuesday, much appreciated! Hugs, Valerie
Lovely tag and great page.
You have done a brilliant thing, Erika. I love how you have combined the two challenges and turned it into a work of art. Thanks as always for your incredible art you make using your theme at Art Journal Journey. BTW, you have a ton of stamps.
I'm glad you are finished with your journal pages. Now it's time to finish cleaning that room so you can make art in a calm place. I'm having problems right now, because I have so many projects going and NONE of them have anything to do with art or art journals. Have a great Friday and weekend. Hope you are feeling the effects of the new antihistamine.
Erika this is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us at Tag Tuesday this fortnight.
Fabulous page and perfect for your summer journal! The colours and patterns remind me of the sea and those seagulls are such fun too - perfect 😀. Happy Friday and weekend Erika! Hugs, Jo x
Water, sea and seagull, that's summer I love it!

You know we all want to see your art room when it is done, don't you? I'm envisioning all the stuff on the floor from your school move and re-do and can't wait to see what happened. I need the inspiration!
A great idea that I might well steal!! The colours are just right and I'm pleased to see a few clouds. I love those gulls too! Hugs, Chrisx
A great Tag..lovely sentiment too.
Thank you for joining us at Tag Tuesday x
Great tag and page, Erika. Wow, you finished your summer journal in record time.
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Such a clean looking page Erika. I think the blue and white contribute to that feeling. You are lucky in finding that patterned paper, it does indeed resemble waves in the sea and now you have added the yacht stamping, the words and the verse it completes the tag.
Love how you have added some gulls to the journal page, something I always associate with the seaside and I love seeing them when they are lovely and white and they stand on a wall or something looking so proud with their chests puffed out.
Mind you there is another side to them when they come looking for food and have been known to take ice cream cones from the hands of children - must be a bit frightening.
Hugs, Neet xx
